Rare Icelandic sheepskin

{Ólafur} is a gorgeous dark sheepskin with the notorious long hair of the Icelandic farm animal. It’s very rare to source one of these Icelandic sheepskins especially in such rich dark shades with brushed underbelly touches in white. The size is very generous, one of the largest in the collection.

A single sheepskin can last you a lifetime and is well worth the investment! The tanning process on these particular sheepskins have been done organically, which means they can not be thrown into a washer, but instead can be lightly hand-washed and hung dry. However, an incredible thing about sheepskin is that they naturally stay quite clean as they repel liquids (due to their natural lanolin oils) and are naturally deodorizing! That’s one reason why we see them lining baby cribs and strollers all the time here in Scandinavia!

All of the sheepskins offered under Root Tonics have been sourced in a very meticulous manner. The sheepskins are bi-products from meat production.
